My New Tattoo

This is what I did today!!! Oh What Fun!!
And if you haven't figured out who Boo and Bug are, they are my cute, adorable, loving, and somewhat spoiled babies (dogs). I had it put on my right forearm and trust me, it was a little tender there, but worth it. Jason does such a good job, he free-handed it, and it's awesome. He has a room in our basement for now, but it moving into a shop on Tuesday. I am really happy for him and proud of him.
And yes, this is #2 for tattoos, and may possibly get a few more, but only if Jason will do them.
Now it's time to heal!!!

Meeting Family

This is the Leatham family, which is part of my Dad's side of the family. It is my Dad's cousin Wayne, wife Lorna and his Aunt Lucille (my grandma's sister). I never did get to meet my Grandma Sturges, so it was very cool to meet Great Aunt Lucille. Wayne gave me a lot of genealogy on the Barrickman family (my grandma's parents, etc) which was fun to read. We only spent a couple hours with them, but it was nice to get to know them. Wayne and Lorna live in Spanish Fork and Aunt Lucille lives in a resthome in Springville.

SuperBowl Sunday

Well, SuperBowl Sunday has begun, and I am already bored. HAHAHA!!! I have been trying to do some family research and have been getting frustrated. On my dad's side of the family, I can't find anything passed my Great Grandfather, other than on his Mom's side, that I have found quit a bit on them. My Mom's side of the family is pretty much the same way. Her father, I can't find much on his family and then more on her mom's side. What am I doing wrong?? I have been to the Church Family history site, and my good friend is letting me tap into her ancestry.com program, and still no luck. Maybe I am not putting my heart and soul into it. Then again, I did make a move that will probably help me out. My dad sent me the name and address of his cousin Wayne Leatham that lives in Spanish Fork, Ut. and so does my great Aunt Lucille. I sent them a Christmas card and put a note on the back about how I would like to meet them all. She is the sister of my Grandma Sturges, whom I have never met, since she passed away before I was born. Well, we are trying to plan a get-together with them soon. Wayne called me and told me that he has quite a bit of history on my family, I guess clear back to the 1600s. Let's hope that we can get it all worked out and I can meet them.
Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the New Year

It a new year and it is starting out like any other year, except for the FUN part of Aaron and Sarah coming out from Idaho and spending a week with us and celebrating the new year.
We had a few people over and sang Karaoke and pigged out on food. It seems like it takes forever for Midnight to get here anymore....Dang... I am old. The next day we woke up and went a saw Marley and Me at the theater. If you want a GOOD cry...watch that show. Pretty much had a lazy day after that.
Then on Sunday, I woke up feeling crappy and decided to stay home from work and we just laid around and watched movies. Then this morning I got woke up to Aaron throwing up...oh what fun!! He decided late last night, after eating nothing all day to eat some rolled tacos and it made him sick to his stomach. He has that cold from hell, and so back to walmart to get cough medicine for him. I feel so bad for the both of them, cause neither of them feel real good and they have to ride back to Nampa tomorrow night. Hopefully they will just lay down in the back of the truck and sleep the whole way home.
I know they have enjoyed being out here, but I know they both miss their friends and Sarah is missing CJ.
Well, I have totally enjoyed having them out here for a visit and really hope that they can move out here soon. It would be nice to just have them within a SHORT driving distance from my house. Thanks for spending the week with us Aaron and Sarah and remember we love and miss you lots.
