Santa Claus

The dogs weren't too sure of having Mrs. and Mr. Sadnta over to the house, but thankfully they realized it was Deon's parents and were good sports about it, after a little bit. Here is Stormy, she was trying to take Santa's glove off.

Here she is posing, (kind of). Notice her belly, she loves her potatoes.

Sarge tried to escape at the beginning, but he didn't get too far, because as you can see in the next picture, Mrs. Santa got a grip on him.

I have to admit that these pups are our babies. I think these dogs have little people in them. Everybody that I talk to that owns one, says the same thing. I know, I am insane!!

The Holiday Season

What ever happened to Christmas?
It seems that people are too caught up in what they want for Christmas, and all the "retail" sales that are going on, instead of the true meaning of Christmas. I had a customer come through my line yesterday that was a Catholic priest and he took a minute and told me about a little boy in his Church. I guess this little boy and his family are pretty poor and he wasn't sure what their Christmas morning was going to be like, because his Dad got laid off from work a few months ago. Well, the Priest was very moved with how honest the boy was that he told them that the Church could help them out. (In Utah, they have the Catholic services too) I guess that the little boy told him that he didn't want anything but wanted to make sure his younger brother and sister got something cause he didn't want them to hate Santa. The priest was at Sam's Club buying a doll, a truck, coats, etc for this family and it really made me think. I was just about crying at work. But what a great thing for this little boy to think of his younger siblings over himself. How many kids would do that nowadays? I know that this priest wasn't just telling me a story, cause I have seen him help others right in our store. But it sure made me think.
I remember several Christmases when we didn't have much, and Mom sure made them great anyways. I still have a little purple dog that she crocheted for me when I was in the 5th grade. She used to make so many cool things for us and make Christmas awesome. Remember the Christmas ornaments that she used to make out of everything from styrofoam and plastic (with animals in it) to pictures on cds. She used to glue them onto the shiny side of the cd and hang them up.
So as you are all out there running in circles to find the newest video games, cds, toys, coats, etc. Think of those who may not have as much and see if you can donate something to them. I know that we don't have much this year, but I always give money to the Marines so they can use it for the Toys for Tots program. Plus, as you walk by that Bell RInger in front of the store...drop in a handful of change...every little bit helps.
I know I am sounding like I am preaching, but I am not, it's just my opinion but after talking to that Priest and hearing about that family, it just made me think a little more about the true meaning of Christmas.
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and I love and miss you all.

How to start a riot

If you would like to know how to start a riot at Sam's Club....just find a pallet of salsa that you will not be carrying that brand anymore and put it on sale a few days before Thanksgiving. We found a pallet of this "On the Border" salsa in the shelving and realized that it was not going to be carried here anymore and it was only 41 cents a bottle now. So...put the pallet up front of the store with large signs on it showing the sale price and watch it fly out the door. Literally!!! We had people buying up to 30 bottles at a time. It was amazing!!!! And yes....I grabbed 4 bottles of it and looked at the display 15 minutes later and all 250 bottles were GONE!!!

Don't ya love a GREAT deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahahahahahahahahaaaaa

Hunter Safety again

Well.....just so you all know. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah...I passed the written test and only missed 1, yes 1 question out of 50. So...now it is official, I can put in for the draw next January and hopefully get the chance to go out and shoot a deer next year. I do have my small games license, but I don't know if there is anything in the small game aspect that I will want to shoot at. But enough of that thought....

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!

Hunter Safety

Okay, I am not sure if everybody knows, but I am taking hunter safety classes and only have one more day left. I had to do my qualifications for shooting on the range on Saturday and did alright. I passed, but it is hard to do well when you are not shooting your own gun. The only thing left that I have to do is taking the written test on Wednesday. Let's all cross our fingers and pray that I can pass it. I have to have 37 out of 50 answers right to pass. UGHHHHH!!!
I will have to post and let you all know.

Pampered Chef

I had an open house tonight for Pampered Chef, and it was so much fun!! I got to spend some fun time with family, friends, and neighbors. It was awesome!! I think that having the opportunity to spend the evening with such a group of people is wonderful, and needs to happen more often. My house was pretty full!! And the best part, my dogs were fine with all the people that were in and out all night. What a fun night!!
